Curing Temperature

This term is used when discussing elastomers (rubber parts).

A compound is poured into a mold, the mold is heated to the compound's curing temperature and left for a period of time to cure or "set up".

If everything was done at the correct temperature and left at this temperature for the correct time, the compound will conform to the shape of the container and the finished product will be removed at some durometer of hardness.
